All individuals who hold a Class 1 licence, Class 2 licence or a Certificate of Registration must complete the CPD specified for their licence or certificate category each year.
The CPD year for all licence and certificate holders starts on 23 March each year and ends on 22 March the following year.
Access Canberra requires certificate and licence holders in the ACT to complete 12 CPD points a year as a condition of renewing their licences.

NSW Fair Trading requires that you are competent in the 5 core units from Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice prior to applying for a Certificate of Registration as an Assistant Real Estate Agent.

This course meets the educational requirements that will qualify you to apply for a Certificate of Registration, and work under a licensed Real Estate Agent.
The participants for CPP41419 Certificate IV in Real Estate Practice may be new or existing employees in the Real Estate industry. These may include experienced staff members working in both residential and commercial property, including business broking, stock and station transactions, sales representatives, property managers or less qualified staff who are looking to advance their careers towards a management/ agent position.
This qualification reflects the role of real estate principals who apply knowledge of property agency and compliance requirements, ethical standards and consumer preferences to establish and control real estate functions.
This qualification applies to residential or commercial practice in real estate sales, real estate property management, strata management, business broking, stock and station, or auctioneering.
This course fulfills the educational requirements necessary to obtain a Real Estate Class 1 Licence in NSW issued by the Office of Fair Trading.
